Life is a like a flower

The zinnias are blooming in the garden. They survived a few days of stormy rains. Thanks to my MIL we always have a beautiful garden.

We're going through a tough pandemic this year. But I hope we all can emerge from this just like these zinnias after the storm.

This reminds me of a quote from My Strange Hero - a Korean drama about students overcoming a highschool peer pressure.  "Everyone is a flower, a flower that will bloom again no matter what happens" (source)
There was another quote from another drama that I really love, it goes like:  "Life is like a flower. Everyone blooms differently at different times"
This is a reminder of why we should not compare ourselves with others. As long as we work sincerely and not giving up, we will bloom one day.

I hope these zinnias will brighten your day. Be my guest if you want to use it as a screensaver for your phone like I did for my iPad :)
Until next time. Stay home & stay safe, everyone!

Night Sky

Not the best shot from my mobile phone, but I just don't want to delete these away. I need a bit more patient to play with the manual setting on the phone. But patience is very rare these days LOL. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. If you have any tips or links to any tutorial for mobile photography, feel free to leave your link in the comment below.

First Day Out After Lockdown

It's been a long time since I update this blog.  But it's never too late to start again, right?!
We've been on lockdown since March 22, 2020, and the last day I went out was 19th March! Pheew that's a long time. Not that I go out everyday pre-lockdown, but still I miss going out and meet my friends from time to time. Lockdown has been relaxed in Guwahati on 4th May onwards, with few restrictions.

Finally last Sunday, we (me and DH) went out to drop fabrics to my friend. She has a young daughter under 10 years old, so she could not go out. (hang in there, girl!!).  And I'm so happy to see the colorful trees blooming along the way to her house.
I had to make DH stopped so that I can take pictures ^^. It was really hot that day and we're all fasting.

After the news that GMCH was under quarantine, I guess many people don't want to risk going out. The road was empty, only a few taxies trying to get passengers on the highway. I saw a few people (most probably …

Instant scrapbook

I love to explore  my mobile and trying out photo editors. There just soo many of them. One that came with my xperia z is PicsArt. It's very easy to use.
Last week my son had to do some little project for school where he had to submit his photos from birth to recent ones and wrote the milestones. We decided to make digital scrapbook type but there was not enough time, so we used this instant one on PicsArt. And it's awesome. We print them out and it's perfect.
Here what we made:

Ordinary things

Took this photo with my xperia Z and edit it on aviary. Yes, it's still my favorite editor on Android right now.
This was an abandoned godown next door. Now the owner finally decided to build something on the land and this godown will have to go.
I used to imagine there must be lots of scary creatures inside x_x

Till we meet again

So here we stand, in our secret place With a sound of the crowd so far away And you take my hand and it feels like home We both understand it's where we belong

So how do I say? Do I say goodbye? We both have our dreams, We both wanna fly So let's take tonight to carry us through the lonely times

I'll always look back,  As I walk away Its where we , Will last for eternity And all of our tears will be lost in the rain When I find my way back to your arms again But until that day you know you are The queen of my heart

So let's take tonight  and never let go While dancing we'll kiss like there's no tomorrow

As the stars sparkle down  like a diamond ring I'll treasure this moment Till we meet again

But no matter how far Or where you may be I just close my eyes And you're in my dreams And there you will be Until we meet

Mobile Camera Apps

This picture was taken from the view point of Kaziranga National Park in Assam, India. I took this using Samsung galaxy tab 2, panoramic setting and edited using aviary. I love aviary, it makes mobile editing a bliss.

This trip was the 1st time for me. We spend the night at IORA, a new hotel and resort.  We went on 25th Dec and upon arrival the receptionist told us that there will be a children x-mas party. Great!! the boys were super excited about it. Apparently there were quite lots of children that day.

Anyway, they had a nice time playing musical chair, blind fold, etc and got a packet of chocolates from "Santa", plus mini treats!!

While the boys were playing, I was trying out this Pudding Camera on my Galaxy Tab. It's nice app, I must say.

You get to choose the camera and the effect, and there you instant photographer. Been using it quite sometime now, esp. when I'm too lazy to do some editing =,=
