I've wanted to try water drop photography  but didn't get the time until the other day when there was no electricity in the house but the sun shines brightly. Didn't want to waste the natural light which shined through my kitchen window, I took a saucepan and put it under the tab, collected my tripod and started clicking the drops.

All photos are edited using Picasa 3 ^^

If you want to learn about waterdrop photography, here's a  VIDEO TUTORIAL  by Gavin Hoey , which basically I followed.

Until then...Happy Clicking

Just love this song now

 ~ Jason Mraz : 93 million miles ~

93 million miles from the Sun, people get ready get ready,
'cause here it comes it’s a light, a beautiful light, over the horizon into our eyesOh, my my how beautiful

 oh my beautiful mother
She told me, "Son in life you’re gonna go far, and if you do it right you’ll love where you are
Just know, that wherever you go, you can always come home"

240 thousand miles from the Moon, we’ve come a long way to belong here,
To share this view of the night, a glorious night, over the horizon is another bright sky
Oh, my my how beautiful, oh my irrefutable father,
He told me, "Son sometimes it may seem dark, but the absence of the light is a necessary part.
Just know, you’re never alone, you can always come back home"

Every road is a slippery slope
There is always a hand that you can hold on to.
Looking deeper through the telescope
You can see that your home’s inside of you.

Just know, that wherever you go, no you’re never alone, you will always get back home

Sunset in Kuta Beach

“Dusk is just an illusion because the sun is either above the horizon or below it. And that means that day and night are linked in a way that few things are there cannot be one without the other yet they cannot exist at the same time. How would it feel I remember wondering to be always together yet forever apart?”  ― Nicholas SparksThe Notebook

These are few sunset photos I've taken during our holidays in Bali, Indonesia. Taken using Sony DSC T70 and Canon D1100.  Edited using Picasa

Edit Me Challenge Week 26

This week Edit Me Challenge's photos is provided by Stephanie of Behind the camera and dreaming and if you happen to be an Etsy lover you can check her Gray Morning Photography and Designs where she sells her photography and blog designs.

Now, here's this week challenge, Stehphanie's son Jonah soaking wet in the summer :) Isn't he adorable?

This is the original photo:

and here's my entry for this week challenge:

Yes, I still do it in Picasa =_=. First I cropped it, and then adjusting the tone by tuning it a bit and warmify it for make it abit "lively" and then I soften it a bit to make the skin looks more soft. And last I Polaroid it.

I'm heading out for the summer I guess I'm gonna miss the whole of July challenge :(. But I'll be right back ...

Until then...Happy Editing ^_*

Edit Me Challenge 2012 Week 25

So, here's my second week on Edit Me Challenge. This time the photo to be edited is from Desiree of  Sommerfugldesign.

This is the original lighthouse pic.

And here's what I did:

As usual I used picasa *grin* I know I should try using something else, but I still didn't get the time to do it. You'll know what keeps me busy from my other blog :D

- I cropped the pic
- Then I adjust the saturation, brightness and contrast
- Retouched it, to get rid of the people in front of the lighthouse
-Graduated tint to give effect to the sky
- B/W
- Lomo-ish it..
and voila :

I really enjoy doing this, I hope I can continue doing it ^_^

Have a nice weekends

Edit Me Challenge - Week 24

I stumbled upon Edit Me Challenge Blog today and couldn't resist my self in trying it out. So I downloaded the pic and start meddling around with Picasa. Yup, I'm one of those who hopeless with Photoshop and take refuge in the easy photo editor instead *grin*.

Editing photos in Picasa is so much fun. Esp. the latest version where you get to experiments with lots of things.

So, here my first entry to this Edit Me Challenge Blog, which I hope I will be doing it regularly ;).

The original photo belong to Jaymi of Live Love Travel Blog. Visit her blog for photography tips and tricks!! It's awesome!!

This is the original Photos:

And here's my editing using Picasa 3.9. What I did was I cropped it a bit, remove the rock behind, soften and warmify it. Tuning it a bit  to sharpen the color and then again soften it a bit and used focal zoom for effect. I think the focal zoom made the model stand out more and made her glow and looking  fresh.

If you like to participate just go ahead to Edit Me Challenge and have fun..:)

Learning Hard

I've been reading photography blogs/tutorial and even making notes. And I stumble upon Digital Photography School which give fabulous tips, trick and tutorial that even a novice beginner like me can understand.

If you are a beginner like me and want to learn about photography DPS is the place. The problem with me is I have to make notes otherwise I will forget everything that I read x_x.

A New Beginning

Well, I've been blogging about my sewing craft in my other BLOG for a long time. Now I thought I'll make another one for my other interest besides the sewing machine :D. Yup, I recently upgrade my self  as an amateur photographer by purchasing Canon Rebel T3 or 1100D. Well, it's an entry level camera but for the time being it should do.

I've been playing with my Sony DSC T-70 for quite a long time, you can check out on my FLICKR. Now, I guess the time has come to be more experimenting with my new baby.

Those are few of the photos I clicked recently :)
I hope that'll be a nice beginning

Thanks for dropping by
